I study the neural underpinning of spatial navigation by taking a topological data analysis approach. In other words, I look at the neural geometries (literally the 'shape' of the neural data) to elucidate a mathematical basis for a neural code. This work also aims to improve artificial networks by developing new learning rules that are robust to novel datasets. Previously, I did my PhD with Jenny Bizley at the UCL Ear Institute. My other interests centre around machine learning for neuroscience and mobile application development. My current projects can be found here.
