Eleni Tsoukala

Research Assistant

Eleni obtained her BSc in Biology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. For her thesis and her subsequent job as a research assistant, she studied the role of neuronal TNF receptors 1 and 2 in CNS pathology using two mouse models of multiple sclerosis and one of temporal lobe epilepsy.

In 2021 she graduated from the University of Edinburgh where she completed her MScR in Integrative Neuroscience. For her research project she studied dendritic spine morphology in three monogenic rat models of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

She joined the Duan lab as a research assistant in 2021, where she participates in the study of social decision making in freely moving animals.
