Maxime Rio develops and maintains analysis tools for his co-workers. He is particularly interested in large dataset processing, image analysis and probabilistic modeling.
Before joining the Mrsic-Flogel group, Maxime worked as a R&D engineer at Inria-Nancy Grand-Est, Larsen team, developing numerical tools to assist elder people aging at home.
As part of his current occupation, he assists researchers in writing their virtual reality program for the behavioural aspect of their experiments. In addition, he maintains a preprocessing pipeline for two-photon calcium imaging, handling very large datasets and adjustable to specific needs of researchers in the lab. Finally, Maxime provides expertise in probabilistic programming, used to analyse various aspects of behavioural data.
