Yvonne Johansson

Yvonne is a postdoc in the Stephenson-Jones lab and interested in revealing the neurocircuitry underlying action selection in the basal ganglia. After completing her Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience at the Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience in Tübingen, Germany, Yvonne pursued a PhD in the lab of Gilad Silberberg at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. In her PhD project she studied how cortical and thalamic information is integrated by different cell types in the striatum. At the Stephenson-Jones lab, Yvonne will dissect the neural pathways involved in habit formation in the basal ganglia.
