Chris Halcrow
Senior Research Software Engineer
Chris is a Research Software Engineer focusing on large electrophysiology datasets and analysis pipelines. He has a PhD in mathematical physics and did postdocs in Nuclear Physics, Geometry and Condensed Matter groups before switching to Neuroscience in 2024. He is a core developer of SpikeInterface and is interested in open data and open source software.
Chris joined the NeuroInformatics Team in July 2026, and will be exploring how to process, visualise and deal with the mind-bogglingly enormous datasets generated by the Aeon project.
