Svenja  Nierwetberg

PhD Student

After completing both her Bachelor degree in Biophysics at Humboldt University Berlin, Svenja went on to pursue a Masters degree in Molecular Medicine. During her Masters, she joined Matthew Larkum’s lab to perform her thesis work on the effect of dendritic activity on perceptual behavior in awake mice.

Svenja joined the SWC PhD cohort in 2018 and is working on a joint project between the Stephenson-Jones Lab and the MacAskill Lab, investigating hippocampal contributions to flexible behaviour in an odour sequence task.
